Bonner Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD), Idaho Department of Lands, Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation, and National Resource Conservation Services are proud to co-sponsor the Idaho State Forestry Contest. This one-day field event is a hands-on opportunity for Idaho’s youth to explore forestry and natural resource professions through direct experience.

The Forestry Contest continues to grow. In 2025 more than 220 students, 60 coaches/chaperones and over 75 volunteers participated. This success wouldn't be possible without the generosity of our sponsors. We sincerely thank you for your generous contribution in previous years and ask that you consider contributing to for this year.

There are no entry fees for participants, and it costs approximately $11,000 annually to host the Forestry Contest. These expenses reflect course supplies, equipment, rental costs, and event day expenses.

As a sponsor, your name will appear:
• on the event banner displayed at the contest,

• in the Forestry Contest brochure provided to all participants and volunteers,

• in newsletters reaching over 200 recipients,

• and on the Bonner SWCD and Idaho Department of Lands websites.

Your support makes a lasting impact by helping students learn directly from natural resource professionals.
