Sarah Garcia
Sarah Garcia is the Executive Director of the Bonner Soil & Water Conservation District. She began as the District Administrator in August 2018, and her role has since expanded. She has supported the District’s significant growth through grant writing and community engagement, as well as the development and expansion of the Panhandle Seedling Program, Idaho State Forestry Contest and Pend Oreille Water Festival. She advocates for conservation locally and statewide, with a particular focus on Idaho’s Aquatic Invasive Species watercraft inspection program.
A third-generation Bonner County resident, Sarah lives in Sagle with her two children. Together, they operate a small farm raising pasture-raised pork and poultry on land her grandparents homesteaded in the 1930’s. Sarah spent five years as a professional nanny on the East Coast. Her love of engaging children in hands on learning has helped expand the District’s outreach through student and community education events and support.
Sarah has served the Idaho District Employee Association (IDEA) as Division 1 Director, representing Boundary to Benewah, and as Vice President. She was nominated for president of IDEA in November 2025.
